Gradient Heat Seal Tester For Plastic Packaging ASTM F2029 Lab Heat Sealer For Coated Oakcaging Film

Gradient Heat Seal Tester For Plastic Packaging ASTM F2029 Lab Heat Sealer For Coated Oakcaging Film

Application
A Gradient Heat Seal Tester is an essential instrument in the packaging industry, designed to evaluate the heat-sealing properties of various materials such as films, laminates, and packaging components. Ensuring the integrity and strength of heat seals is crucial in maintaining the quality and effectiveness of packaging used for a range of products including food, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and other consumer goods.

The Gradient Heat Seal Tester operates by applying controlled heat and pressure to a sample material for a set time, simulating the conditions under which heat seals are formed during the packaging process. With adjustable temperature, pressure, and time settings, this tester allows manufacturers to identify the optimal parameters required for achieving consistent and durable seals.

The term "gradient" in Gradient Heat Seal Tester refers to its ability to generate a controlled temperature gradient across the sealing area. This feature ensures that multiple temperature settings can be tested simultaneously, reducing wait times and improving overall testing efficiency. As a Multi-Station Heat Seal Tester, the Gradient Heat Seal Tester enhances productivity by enabling multiple tests to run at different temperatures simultaneously.

Standards
The GHS-01 Gradient Heat Seal Tester adheres to ASTM F2029-16(2021), the standard practices for making laboratory heat seals to determine the heat sealability of flexible barrier materials, as measured by seal strength. This standard ensures the equipment provides reliable and reproducible results in determining the heat seal properties of packaging materials.

Key Features of the Gradient Heat Seal Tester

  1. Simultaneous Temperature Gradient Testing: The Gradient Heat Seal Tester is capable of creating a temperature gradient, which allows for testing multiple temperature settings at the same time, saving valuable time in production environments.

  2. Precision Control: Equipped with a first-class P.I.D. (proportional integral derivative) temperature controller, the GHS-01 ensures precise temperature control and efficient heating, offering a high level of accuracy in heat sealing.

  3. Aluminum Sealing Jaws: Both the upper and lower sealing jaws are made of high-quality aluminum, independently heated, ensuring minimal heat loss and smooth temperature regulation for consistent sealing results.

  4. Accurate Sealing Pressure: The tester employs a three-way guided sealing bar to maintain uniform sealing pressure during tests, which is critical for achieving reliable seal strength.

  5. Customization Options: The GHS-01 Gradient Heat Seal Tester allows customization of the seal jaws in terms of size, shape, and sealing surface/patterns to suit specific testing requirements.

  6. Safety Features: The tester includes user protection features such as an anti-scald front cover, a manual and foot switch, and more, ensuring safe operation during testing.

Main Parameters

Sealing Temp. Ambient~250℃
Temp. Gradient ≤20℃
Deviation ±0.2℃
Sealing Time 0.1S~9999S
Sealing Pressure 0.15~0.7 MPa
Seal Jaws(mm) U:40*10 5PCS/L:330 1PCS
Gas Input 0.7 MPa with Ф6 mm Pipe
Power AC 220V 50Hz

Test Process
The Gradient Heat Seal Tester operates by placing a sample between two parallel heated sealing jaws with flat surfaces. Once the desired temperature reaches equilibrium, the upper sealing jaw, powered by a gas cylinder, is lowered to apply a set pressure on the sample for the preset duration. After the sealing time concludes, the upper jaw returns to its original position, completing the heat seal testing cycle.

Heat Sealing Evaluation
Once the heat sealing process is complete, the seal’s integrity and strength can be further assessed using methods such as air-leak tests, dye penetration, visual examination, and microorganism penetration testing. These evaluations help ensure that the seals are durable and reliable for use in packaging applications across various industries.

Why Choose the Gradient Heat Seal Tester?
The Gradient Heat Seal Tester is an advanced, high-precision tool designed to meet the needs of modern packaging industries. Its ability to conduct multi-temperature tests simultaneously provides faster results, making it ideal for industries requiring high throughput. Whether for food packaging, pharmaceutical products, or electronics, the GHS-01 Gradient Heat Seal Tester ensures that packaging materials meet strict quality control standards, enhancing the overall integrity and safety of the product.
